I don’t really know how I got to this point where I have so many social network profiles to manage and update on a daily basis. I’m afraid that if I fall behind with my tweets and updates, that I will just disappear from the social networks marketing scene. But I also have work to do. So how do I divide my time?

As a marketing consultant, I manage my own marketing strategies which includes social networks marketing as well as that of my clients. I find myself in an endless circle of blogs and updates. But that’s just the nature of the beast and I embrace it. However, if you want your customers and your target audience to know who you are and, more importantly, to remember who you are, this is just something that you have to do.

I find that it’s best to do your social networking at the end of the day, because that is when many people are online, after work. That’s when your message is more likely to appear freshly in their newsfeeds. So many people post messages during the day, unless you know that your audience check their social network profiles during the working day, it is not really beneficial to you. So you are not making the most of your time. You could be wasting your time.

When you compose your internet marketing strategy, make sure to set time aside for social networks marketing – posting updates, tweets, blogging, etc. Choose a timeslot in your day when you know that your audience is paying attention or will at least see your post, instead of wasting your time all day posting updates and tweets when no one will really see it. Every internet marketing consultant will tell you that you should keep your social network profiles constantly updated, but this doesn’t mean every second of the day.

Focus your time strategically throughout the day and set time aside for tweets and status updates. Then your social networks marketing strategy will work for you. You will reach your audience which will save you time and effort.
